You can use this carrier with your own contract from our Professional subscription.

In this article, you will learn how to integrate your own Hermes contract into Shipcloud so that you can ship via Shipcloud with your own business rates.

In this article 👇

Activation of your Shipcloud configuration for Hermes

You are welcome to integrate your own Hermes contract into Shipcloud. Simply send us an email at support@shipcloud.io so that we can activate your own Shipcloud configuration for Hermes.

After the activation, you can continue to ship at your business rates and conditions. In this case, among other things, your individually agreed terms apply regarding:

  • your transport insurance

  • the (regular) pick-up/drop-off of shipments in parcel shops

  • worldwide/international shipping, also outside the EU

How to configure Hermes in Shipcloud

Information about the Hermes Shipping Interface

In order to ship via Shipcloud with your own Hermes contract, Hermes requires an activation for the Hermes Shipping Interface (HSI). If you are not sure whether your account has already been activated for this interface, please contact your Hermes Account Manager.

Good to know: If you have registered with Hermes via the Hermes ProfiPaketService after 23.01.2018, your account will automatically be activated for the Hermes Shipping Interface (HSI). Customers who have previously registered must first apply for activation from Hermes.

Authentication of your Hermes user with Shipcloud

You can authenticate your Hermes user with Shipcloud via the configuration activated for you. Simply log into your Shipcloud account and select Hermes under the menu item Settings >> Carriers by clicking on the pencil icon.

Now click on the blue button "Login at Hermes".

You will now be redirected to the Hermes Shipping Interface. Please enter the access data for your Hermes account there.

After successful login, you will be redirected back to your Shipcloud configuration. Now click on the "OK" button to save your settings and complete the configuration.

Billing information

After successful configuration, you will automatically ship at your own Hermes business rates. Please note that Shipcloud will then not be able to show you any prices (anymore) for Hermes, as our system does not have access to this part of your contract. You can view your shipping conditions in your Hermes account.

You will be invoiced by Hermes for your Hermes shipping labels. From Shipcloud you will receive a monthly invoice for the basic fee of your subscription and for the shipping labels created at Shipcloud business rates.

Hermes shipping in connection with Shipcloud

Shipcloud supports you with EU-wide shipping of your Hermes parcels from Germany. Please note that shipments outside the EU are currently not yet possible with Shipcloud in conjunction with Hermes.

An overview of the available Hermes shipping services and additional services, can also be found here.

Hermes returns in connection with Shipcloud

With Shipcloud you can also generate return shipping labels for national shipments within Germany. For this you need your own returns contract, which you can conclude with Hermes from 75,000 shipments/year. Please contact your Hermes Account Manager directly for more information.

In addition to a standard return label in PDF format, you can create a paperless Hermes QR code return for your customers via API request and send the QR code in PNG format to your recipients by email. Alternatively, you can also provide your customers with these two options via your own Shipcloud return portal.
