Thanks to the Shipcloud Connector for Shopware 6, you can generate shipping labels directly from your Shopware shop with just a few clicks.

In this article you will learn how to create shipping labels in Shopware with Shipcloud. If you have not yet configured the Shipcloud Connector for Shopware 6, you can find helpful information on downloading and setting it up here.

In this article 👇

Process orders and create shipping labels one by one

Log in to your Shopware 6 backend and access your order overview via the menu item "Orders" >> "Overview". Click on the order number to open the detailed view of the order.

Good to know: You can also open the detailed view of an order by clicking on the three dots on the right and by selecting "View".

In the detail view you will find all the information about the order and you can perform various actions for the customer order.

Click on the three dots at the top right and select "Create shipment" from the drop-down menu.

Good to know: Via "Show shipments" in the drop-down menu you can display your already created shipping labels for this order.

In the input mask that opens, you can now view and edit all relevant shipment information:

Lieferadresse (Delivery address)

Here you can check the recipient address for correctness and make changes if necessary.

Good to know: Please make sure that the address format complies with the specifications of the carriers.

Paket (Parcel)

Here you can customize the package size and description.

Good to know: You get this view if you have not created any package templates in the settings of your Shipcloud Connector and have not defined liquid var as a placeholder.

Provided you have previously created package templates in the settings of your Shipcloud Conenctor, you can set the package size based on your templates and switch between them using the arrow.

Click on the "Anpassen" ("Customize") button to store individual package sizes for a shipment. You will then see additional fields where you can enter information about the individual package dimensions and weight of the shipment (see image above).

Good to know: If you have defined "{$orderNumber}" as a placeholder in the settings of your Shipcloud Connector in your Shopware 6 backend, for example, the order number will automatically be displayed in the "Paketbeschreibung" ("Package description") field. However, you can also fill out the field individually for each shipment.

Paketdienst und Service (Carrier and service)

Here you specify the carrier, service and package type for the shipment.

If you have configured a default-carrier in the settings of your Shipcloud Connector, this is preselected with the corresponding service and package type. However, you also have the option to select an alternative carrier, service and parcel type. To do this, simply click on the respective arrows and make your selection in the individual drop-down menus.

In addition, you can specify here on a single shipment level whether a return label should be automatically created for your shipment together with the shipping label. To do this, simply place a checkmark next to "Retourensendung hinzufügen" ("Add return shipment").

Zolldeklaration (Customs declaration)

Click on "Zollerklärung generieren" ("Generate customs declaration") to create a customs declaration for a dutiable shipment.

The required data from the customer order or the information maintained on your product is automatically transferred to the customs declaration. You can now check the data for accuracy, add to it, and make changes if necessary. Tips for creating a customs declaration (CN23/CN22) can also be found in this article.

In addition, you can add further items using the "Neuer Eintrag" ("New entry") button.

Good to know: When shipping to a dutiable third country with DHL and Parcel. One, you must submit a customs declaration (CN22 or CN23) electronically to the carriers.

Zusatz-Services (Additional services)

Depending on the selected parcel service, the additional services available for this carrier are displayed here.

Click on the button to the left of the desired additional service and make the further necessary entries in the drop-down fields that open.

Good to know: The image shows the additional services that can be booked for DHL. You can find out exactly which additional services you can book via Shipcloud business rates or only via your own carrier account in our carrier-specific "overview articles" within our carriers-category.

After editing, click the "Sendung erstellen" ("Create Shipment") button in the upper right corner to generate your shipping label (and return label and customs declaration, if applicable).

Your created shipping label will be made available to you for viewing and direct download via a pop-up window.

Your already created shipping labels are also available in the menu item "shipcloud - Shipments". There you can check the status of your shipments in your shipment overview, view and download shipping labels and customs declarations, and create return shipments or delete shipments.

📌 Please note our cancellation guidelines: You can delete and thus cancel shipping labels that have already been created on the day of creation. After that, cancellation is no longer possible and you will be charged for the shipping labels. You can also find more information here.

Create shipping labels via batch processing

Thanks to batch processing, you can create multiple shipping labels quickly and easily one after the other.

To do this, select your orders to be processed by placing a check mark to the left of the order number. This will activate a new button with three dots at the top. Click on it and select "Create Shipments".

In the input mask that opens, you will see all the order numbers you have selected for batch processing. As with the creation of individual shipping labels, you can also check and, if necessary, edit the package size and description, the carrier, service and package type, as well as the additional services. Any adjustments you make here will then be automatically applied uniformly to all your selected orders.

Good to know: If you want to change your selected orders, simply close the input mask by clicking the cross in the upper right corner and correct your selection via the checkboxes in the order overview.

After editing, click the "Stapelverarbeitung erstellen" ("Create Batch") button in the upper right corner to generate your shipping label (and return label and customs declaration, if applicable).

Your generated shipping label will be made available to you for viewing and direct download via a pop-up window.
