Start now with Deutsche Post

For the use of Deutsche Post you need in any case, a separate Portokasse account. For the use of the Warenpost further steps are necessary, which we like to explain to you here.

Portokasse

For the creation of letter, book and merchandise shipments you only need an account for Portokasse at Deutsche Post.

The Portokasse can be set up here within a few minutes.

Warenpost National

For the use of the Warenpost National you need an additional contract with Deutsche Post besides the Portokasse. You can apply for this starting from an annual volume of 200 shipments. If you do not have a contract yet, you can do this here.

After completion of the contract and activation by Deutsche Post, you can also use the shipping method "Warenpost" via shipcloud.

Get the contract for Warenpost here.

Please note: If you conclude the form for the contract for Warenpost, you must necessarily put the hook at the following point:

Warenpost International

For the use of the Warenpost International you need a customer number (EKP) with Deutsche Post beside the Portokasse account.
For example, you have a customer number if you are registered with Deutsche Post as a business customer or have your own DHL contract. If you do not know your customer number, you can either find it on your invoices or ask your account manager at DHL or Deutsche Post.

If you do not have a customer number yet, you can simply apply for it using this form.

Please let us know if you also want to use the shipping option Kilo tariff or Warenpost International with Signature. For this we have to make another activation for you.

Integrate Deutsche Post in your shipcloud account

For the configuration in shipcloud you have to enter the following data yourself in the shipcloud WebUI:

  • E-mail of your Portokasse account
  • Password of your Portokasse account
  • Deutsche Post customer number / EKP

The configuration of the product is only relevant for national Warenpost. Depending on whether you are shipping to countries subject to duty, the data for the Customs Declaration (CN22) must also be handed over. Furthermore, Warenpost International is currently only available in the live system and not in the sandbox.

Important notes about restrictions regarding tracking and drop-off

Please note that additional services, such as tracking, are only available for the Warenpost.
Letters, books or merchandise shipments are without tracking.
The drop-off of your letters is possible via mailboxes or in all branches of Deutsche Post, as well as to a DHL Packstation.
If you have any questions regarding packaging material, discount options or posting in the post offices and mailboxes, please contact Deutsche Post directly.
