How to use your own Deutsche Post business rates with Shipcloud

Shipcloud supports you in the national shipping of your Deutsche Post letter, book and merchandise shipments via your own Deutsche Post contract, which you can already integrate in Shipcloud from our Professional subscription.

Set up a Portokasse (petty cash account) with Deutsche Post

To create letter, book and merchandise shipments, all you need is a Portokasse (petty cash account) with Deutsche Post. You can set up a Portokasse here within a few minutes.

Check your access data

For shipping with Deutsche Post you need your own contract, which you can easily integrate in Shipcloud. For your Deutsche Post configuration you need the following data:

Email

Email of your Portokasse (petty cash) account

Password

Password of your Portokasse (petty cash) account

Customer number Deutsche Post

Your Deutsche Post customer number (EKP) resp. 10-digit customer ID for your Portokasse (petty cash)

Store access data for Deutsche Post in your Shipcloud account

You can easily store your Deutsche Post contract data in your Shipcloud account and thus ship at your individually agreed rates and conditions with the carrier.

Based on the time of your registration at Shipcloud, we provide you below with further information on how to store your Deutsche Post access data in the Shipcloud webUI.



Registration from August 2, 2022

How to store your contract data for Deutsche Post

Log in to your Shipcloud account resp. to the Shipcloud webUI and select the menu item "Carriers" in the navigation bar on the left.

Under "Active carriers", click on the blue contract icon on the left next to Deutsche Post to store the access data from your Deutsche Post account in your Shipcloud configuration and, if necessary, to make further settings.



Click on the green "Save & activate" button on the right so that your changes are applied and your own business rates are applied when you are creating your shipping labels.

📌 Please note that previously saved data will be overwritten and you will ship using your own business rates after successful activation.

Registration before August 2, 2022

How to store your contract data for Deutsche Post

If you have registered with Shipcloud before August 2, 2022, please contact our support team first and we will activate your own configuration for Deutsche Post.

After activation, you will receive a confirmation email from us and you will then find your configuration in your Shipcloud account under "Configurations" >> "Carriers" >> "Deutsche Post". Deposit and save your access data for Deutsche Post there.



Deutsche Post shipping with Shipcloud

Important information on dropping-off letters, books and merchandise shipments

You can post your letters, books and merchandise shipments in mailboxes or hand them in at DHL parcel shops and postal outlets.

📌 Please note that you must label your book and merchandise shipments "BÜWA" above the address.

If you have any questions regarding packaging material, prices or discount options, or posting restrictions, please contact your Deutsche Post account manager directly.

Shipping conditions and billing

After successful configuration, you automatically ship at your own Deutsche Post business rates.

📌 Please note that Shipcloud will not be able to show you any prices for Deutsche Post, as our system does not have access to this part of your contract. You can view your shipping conditions in your Deutsche Post account or request them from your account manager.

You will be billed directly by Deutsche Post for your shipping labels. You will only receive a monthly invoice from Shipcloud for the use of our service (basic and transaction fees) and for the shipping labels created at Shipcloud business rates with other carriers.
