From June 30, 2025, the previous customer user administration for API shipment tracking will be switched off and your zt-ID will lose its validity.

In order to continue using DHL Shipment Tracking, we ask you to change your previous zt user account (ID & password) to a DHL GKP user account (user name & password).

How do I create a new user for shipment tracking?

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Log in to your DHL Business Customer Portal and select Manage users from the drop-down menu at the top right. Then click on Create new User at the bottom right.

  2. In the next step, please complete all fields marked with *. Here it is important that you select the systemuser in the Usertype field and grant the user the rights for Track parcels & goods.

  3. In this step it is important that you either add all your available billing numbers to the new user or at least for the billing numbers you use with Shipcloud.

  4. To activate your new user, simply enter a new user name here. Please note the criteria for creating a user name! Once you have created your user name, the next step is to assign a new password. Please also note the criteria here.

  5. To ensure smooth shipment tracking, it is necessary to store the new DHL data in your Shipcloud account. To do this, log in to your Shipcloud account and go to the carrier settings*. Now enter your new user name and password here.

*Please note that your view may vary in the settings.

  6. Your new shipment tracking data is now successfully stored in your Shipcloud account.
