Free text field "Deviating article description for customs".

With Shipcloud, a customs declaration (CN23/CN22) is automatically generated for deliveries outside Germany and can be attached to the shipment.

After installing the Shipcloud connector, the item description in the item master data is extended by the field „Abweichende Artikel-Bezeichnung für den Zoll“ ("Deviating item description for customs"). Here you can enter the desired text that should appear on the customs declaration for the respective article (maximum 30 characters). If the field is left blank, the item description will be used instead.

Flexible customization of the article description for customs

However, you can also flexibly adjust the designation. To do this, first click on the pencil icon to the right of the corresponding order, select the "Shipcloud" tab in the order details screen that opens, and then click on the "Create shipping label" button.

In this detail view, an additional section "Customs declarations for form (CN22/CN23)" appears for deliveries outside Germany. Here you can specify up to 6 items that will be included in the customs declaration.

Either the designation previously stored for the product or the standard article designation is displayed (1). In addition, the weight for the respective item is also taken from the item master data (2). Both fields can be overwritten and adjusted separately for each order.

Good to know: When creating a customs declaration, a value of goods up to 1000 EUR may be processed. The item description may contain a maximum of 30 characters, otherwise it will be shortened automatically.

If you have created the shipping label, you will find the customs content declaration next to the label in the next step.
