Customers using their own UPS rates need to authenticate (AuthCode) with UPS when integrating their own contract to Shipcloud.
During this process, a refresh token is retrieved from the UPS API, which acts as a key between the UPS and Shipcloud interfaces.
This token can expire or become invalid after some time and therefore needs to be renewed.
In some cases, we may receive feedback from UPS indicating that, for the current AuthCode in your UPS configuration, no refresh token can be retrieved from the UPS API.
This process checks via the UPS API whether the external connection—in your case, your Shipcloud account—still has valid authorization to access your UPS account.
If this authorization is missing, you cannot create shipping labels via Shipcloud and will receive the following error message:
Your UPS access token is invalid. Please visit https://app.shipcloud.io/de/configurations/32162/edit and re-authenticate with UPS.
To resolve this error, you need to re-authenticate your UPS configuration in your Shipcloud account.
To do this, please open the UPS configuration in your Shipcloud account under Carriers and click the blue Authenticate button.
Then re-enter your UPS customer number and save the changes.
Once you have successfully completed the authentication process (“Authenticated with UPS”) again, you should be able to create shipping labels via Shipcloud without any issues.
