GLS CashService

Service where GLS collects the invoice amount in cash from the recipient. Thus, the parcel service takes care of securing the payment and then transfers the amount to the account you specify. The following requirements apply:

  • Maximum C.O.D. amount and liability limit: € 2.500

  • Permissible currency: Euro

  • For national shipping within Germany

GLS DepositService

Service with which your recipients can grant GLS a parcel-related or permanent drop-off permission. With the drop-off authorization, GLS places your parcels at an agreed location - for example, in your recipient's garage or on their patio. The following requirements apply:

  • Can be booked in combination with the GLS standard products BusinessParcel and EuroBusinessParcel

  • For national shipping within Germany

📌 Please note that this service includes a sender-side drop-off permit, which means that GLS's liability for damage or parcel loss ends when the parcel is dropped off at the agreed location and is automatically transferred to the sender.

GLS FlexDeliveryService

Parcel notification via email with the expected delivery time window and the option to choose a suitable desired delivery from numerous delivery options. The following requirements apply:

  • Can be booked in combination with the GLS standard products BusinessParcel and EuroBusinessParcel

  • Recipient's email address is mandatory

  • For shipping from Germany to AT, BE, CZ, DE, DK, ES, FR, HR, HU, LU, NL, PL, RO, SI, SK

GLS Guaranteed24Service

Service for national shipping of urgent goods with guaranteed delivery on the next working day (except Saturdays) throughout Germany (excluding islands). The following requirements apply:

  • For national shipping within Germany

GLS LetterboxService

Service for sending small goods, mailings or catalogs with direct mailbox delivery for which no signature of the recipient is required. The following requirements apply:

  • Can only be booked in combination with the GLS DepositService

  • Maximum dimensions/weight/minimum dimensions:

    40 x 28 x 5 cm / max. 1kg / min. DIN C5

📌 For shipments created with the LetterboxService, GLS can provide a refund upon successful delivery. Talk to your GLS account manager for more details.

GLS Pick&ShipService

Uncomplicated parcel pickup on the next business day after commissioning at your location in Germany and forwarding to your recipient.

GLS SaturdayService

Additional service for GLS express shipping with on-time delivery on Saturday. The following requirements apply:

  • Can be booked in combination with GLS Express ("one_day"), GLS Express 12:00 und GLS Express 10:00

GLS ShopDeliveryService

Alternative parcel delivery directly to a GLS ParcelShop previously selected by the recipient. As soon as the parcel is on site, GLS informs the recipient by email or SMS, who then has eight working days from the following day of delivery to pick up his shipment at the ParcelShop. The following requirements apply:

  • First and last name, recipient email address and parcel shop are mandatory

  • For shipments from Germany to AT, DE, BE, DK, PL
