1. Check your access data for DHL Express

You need the following data for your DHL Express configuration:

  • DHL Express username & password

  • DHL Express account number (9 digits)

📌 Please note that to use DHL Express with shipcloud, you will need access for "DHL Express Global Webservices". You can obtain this from your DHL Express Account Manager.

2. Contact us to activate your own shipcloud configuration for DHL Express

Contact our support team via email at support@shipcloud.io so that we can activate your own DHL Express configuration.

3. Store your access data for DHL Express in your configuration in your shipcloud account

After our support team has activated your own DHL Express configuration, you will find it in your shipcloud account under "Configurations" >> "Carriers" >> "DHL Express". Store and save your access data there.

After successful configuration, you will automatically ship at your own DHL Express rates. Please note that shipcloud cannot show you any prices for DHL Express, as our system does not have access to this part of your contract.

In this case, your individual agreements apply regarding, among other things:

  • your transport insurance,

  • the (regular) pick-up/drop-off in parcel stores of shipments

  • worldwide/international shipping, also outside the EU

Billing information

You will be billed directly by DHL for your shipping labels and you will only receive a monthly invoice from shipcloud for the use of our service (basic and transaction fees) as well as for the shipping labels created at shipcloud's business rates.


Important information about your DHL Express shipments with shipcloud

Creating DHL Express shipments

When booking DHL Express shipments, in addition to the sender and recipient addresses, you must also provide the following information to the carriers:

  • description for the shipment (not as part of the package).

  • telephone number of the sender and recipient

Parcel pickup

Currently, your DHL Express shipments created through shipcloud can only be regular pickups. If you have not yet arranged a regular pickup with DHL Express, please contact your DHL account manager.

A sporadic pickup order at the push of a button as well as the transfer of pickup times is currently not possible via the shipcloud WebUI. However, a pickup can be ordered when creating a shipment via the shipcloud API.

📌 Please note that the provision of a pickup order is mandatory at the time of shipment creation if you have not agreed on a regular pickup with DHL Express.

Returns

Return shipments are not possible with DHL Express. However, you could create these, with DHL Paket via shipcloud's business rates or your own carrier account, for example.
